9 Best Real Estate WordPress Plugins for Home Builders

#1: Mortgage Calculator

mortgage calculator plugin

A mortgage calculator is a helpful tool to embed into pages that are targeting buyer leads. This tool can help potential clients learn more about their financial situation and see what home price they can qualify for potentially.

It gives you a resource page to send current clients as well so you can learn more about their budget and start showing them home building packages in the right price range.

#2: Draw Attention

Draw Attention is one of the coolest real estate WordPress plugins to use if you have maps of subdivisions or construction photos, for example, and you want to label different parts of the photo.

You’ll use the draw editor tool to outline certain areas of the photo and as the user hovers their mouse over that part of the photo, information pops up.

Builders can use this feature to sell land & subdivision lots by labeling different lots with pricing and square footage information.

Real estate agents can draw attention to certain areas of a photo of their listing such as counter-tops, appliances, flooring. Label each item with the brand so users can hover different parts of a kitchen to learn more about the finishes used.

#3: WP Mapbox

Create custom maps with the WP Mapbox plugin for WordPress. One cool benefit to home builders is that you can include markers on your map for different subdivisions you are currently building homes in.

This plugin also offers advanced mapbox features like pre-filling directions, geolocation, 100 icons with custom colors, 3D map shapes, and more.

#4: All-in-One Video Gallery

This WordPress plugin is great for sharing the latest home construction videos. You can build out a video gallery page on your website displaying a grid of videos for users to scroll.

As a home builder, you should hire a videographer to film progress videos of your different properties as well as a final walk through video tour when construction is complete!

Then easily import these videos into your website using the All in One Video Gallery WordPress plugin.

#5: Ultimate Member

Ultimate Member is a WordPress membership plugin that allows you to restrict certain pages and content to members only.

You can set up a registration page and have potential clients you meet with in person or via phone calls, sign up on your website as a member to get access to restricted content.

The content you restrict to members only can be things like Floor Plans, Subdivision Covenants, Lot Surveys, Home Building Packages, Photo & Video Galleries, Contracts & Professional Documents.

#6: MetaSlider

Another feature every real estate website should have is a slide show. This can be a great way to showcase photos of interiors, exteriors, and aerials of property you’ve developed.

MetaSlider is SEO friendly and a lite plugin that doesn’t slow down your page load speed. There are 4 different slideshow types to choose from and the short-codes make it easy to embed a slider into any page on your website.

#7: ConverKit Email

Another feature your home building website should include is email capture forms. You should be using your website as a marketing tool to generate leads for your home construction business and real estate service business.

ConvertKit is my recommended email CRM that allows you to build email lists, group subscribers by different tags, and set up automated emails such as a newsletter you pre-create ahead of time for new leads to receive.

There are many other advanced features ConvertKit offers that won me over when I was deciding between ConvertKit and other email softwares like Mailchimp, Aweber, InfusionSoft, etc.

The ConvertKit WordPress Plugin makes it easy to connect your account and import your forms into your blog posts and web pages.

You can also copy the embed code direct from your CK account and paste into any page on your home builder website.

#8: Clicky Analytics

Clicky is great for tracking visitors to your website so you can see which pages are getting the most views and which traffic sources are sending the most visitors to your website.

It will help you measure your marketing efforts to see how your Facebook Ad spend, Google Ad spend, and other marketing channels are delivering visitors to your website.

Clicky displays data in a user friendly summary dashboard that I like a lot better than Google Analytics.

I use both Clicky and Google Analytics but Clicky is simple to login and see a quick overview of everything going on with my website. Check out the Clicky by Yoast plugin here.

#9: WP Forms

This drag & drop form builder allows you to customize your own contact form, inserting fields custom to your real estate services.

You can then embed these forms into different areas on your website to capture leads that you can follow up with via phone or email.

One downside of most contact form plugins is that they are ugly in design. But with WP Forms, you can create more visually appealing forms to fit in with the professional design appearance of your real estate website.
